UK Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, visits Essen BioScience

UK Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, visited Essen Bioscience to roll out a £200 million Government funding initiative to drive regional growth. The Hertfordshire Growth Deal awarded to the Local Enteprise Partnership (LEP) sees investment in local infrastructure and the life science sector. Following a BBC television interview at Essen’s laboratories in Welwyn Garden City the Health Secretary was keen to learn more about IncuCyte live-cell imaging technology and how it has contributed to research in the life science and health care industries. As a leading cell-based life science research company, Essen BioScience’s European operations have been based at the BioPark in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire since 2009. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/hertfordshire-growth-deal-2014
