2nd IncuCyte™ UGM

The 2nd IncuCyte™ User group meeting was held at the Embassy Suites in South San Francisco, California, on the 13th September 2012. The meeting was attended by 101 delegates with a shared interest in live cell kinetic imaging, comprised of scientists from academia, pharma and biotech/other sectors. The Keynote Speaker, namely Dr. Steven Finkbeiner, Director and Professor of Taube-Koret Center &Hellman Alzheimer's Program in Gladstone Institutes at University of California San Francisco, emphasized the necessity for longitudinal imaging in tracking and measuring the behavior of cells in the context of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. This meeting also marked the official launch of IncuCyte ZOOM, the next generation of the IncuCyte family of products, offering HD phase contrast and dual fluorescent channel (red and green) imaging modes, three objectives (4x, 10x, and 20x), expanded software and image analysis tools, and faster acquisition and processing capabilities as compared to its predecessors. Presentation content from IncuCyte Users covered areas from novel assay systems to Essen Cell Player assays and cell culture quality control (QC).
