Application Note:
Dis-regulation of the cell cycle leads to the increased proliferation we see in cancer cells. Therefore, as part of their strategy to develop anti-cancer treatments, researchers need tools and technologies to track the cellular changes that allow such uncontrolled cellular proliferation.
Conventional methods used to study the cell cycle can present challenges. For instance, current end-point solutions do not allow researchers to follow the cell cycle over multiple cell divisions and do not fully integrate data acquisition with analysis. Live-cell analysis, in contrast, gives you long-term, kinetic analysis of cell cycle dynamics.
Our new application note explains the principle of Incucyte®’s Cell Cycle Lentivirus reagent and gives sample data for applications such as:
Quantifying the cell cycle phase of individual cells using the Incucyte® Cell-by-Cell Analysis Module
Cell cycle synchronization studies for examining cell cycle specific mechanisms and regulation using the Incucyte® Cell-by-Cell Analysis Module
Cell cycle modulation studies for evaluating the effect of anti-cancer treatments
Distinguishing cell cycle arrest from apoptosis by multiplexed analysis with Incucyte®’s Annexin V reagent
Evaluating the effects of differentiation and immune cell killing on the cell cycle
