ASSAY DESCRIPTION

Cytotoxicity Assay on IncuCyte:   In this assay, we optimized the use of YOYO^®-1 (Life Technologies) on the IncuCyte live-cell imaging system in order to measure cytotoxicity in real-time. YOYO^®-1 is a cell impermeable DNA stain which will label dead or dying cells upon the loss of membrane integrity. In this mix-and-multiple read assay; the reagent and compounds are added to the cells, followed by automated image acquisition by the IncuCyte without removing the cells from your incubator. The time-lapse images are then quantified using the integrated object counting software provided with the IncuCyte system.
